PDFpenPro

We envision a world where quality software helps you take the “work” out of work, so you can focus on what matters. And we do it while providing a stable and sustainable business, treating our staff, contributors, and our customers with respect.

PDFpenPro is the best alternative I found to Acrobat Pro (which I want to get away from as only the subscription version will work on macOS 10.15 Catalina). I looked at a bunch of different PDF editors, and only PDFpenPro has every feature of Acrobat Pro that I depend on. PDFpenPro is a standout for Mac users thanks to its solid features, not the least of which is an excellent OCR engine. With full PDF-document editing, you can make changes to text and replace. PDFpenPro is a full-on PDF editor that supports reordering pages in a document, combining pages from multiple documents, creating fillable PDF forms, manipulating or deleting images, adding images. This PDFpenPro for Windows alternative gives a user everything he or she might need in order to create, convert, edit, sign and share PDF files to industry-standard. One of its greatest features is its simplicity, intuitive UI, and straightforward approach. It increases productively. The product is priced at $159.99 for a single user license.

What is a PDF file?

A PDF file is a multi-platform document created by Adobe Acrobat or another PDF application. The PDF format is commonly used for saving documents and publications in a standard format that can be viewed on multiple platforms. In many cases, PDF files are created from existing documents instead of from scratch.

You may encounter PDF files in a variety of ways, whether it be downloading a document from a website or receiving a document from a co-worker or friend via email. The files may contain text, images, forms, annotations, outlines, and other document-related data. The PDF files also preserve fonts and formatting electronically across multiple platforms and appear the same on the screen as when printed on paper.

A wide variety of programs may be used to create PDF files, including word processors, image editors, and PDF file utilities, like Adobe Acrobat. You may also create PDF files from documents using the Print dialog in Windows and macOS. In Windows, select File → Print... or click the printer icon to open the Print dialog. Then, select 'Print to PDF' in the 'Destination' dropdown menu and click . In macOS, select Print... from the application's File menu, then choose 'Save as PDF' from the PDF dropdown menu in the lower-left corner of the window.
